2013 has been a year of great developments, fantastic awards, and new experiences at Bounce Energy, so we wanted to share some news with you, our dear customers, because without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Wind power as a clean and renewable technology has come a long way since wind was first widely harnessed in the Midwest to generate electricity in the 1930′s. At the end of 2000, the U.S. wind energy capacity was just over 2,500 megawatts (MW). As of 2012, it has grown to 60,007 MW. Wind is also variable, as it can’t be relied upon alone for meeting base load, and it can’t be called upon to work as a “peaker” generator to cover peak demand at the moment it’s needed…

This year was supposed to be an active hurricane year. According to the revised June predictions by NOAA, Colorado State University (CSU) ,  WSI (Weather Services International), and Tropical Storm Risk (TSR), this year’s season was supposed to be very active. NOAA broadly predicted 13 to 20 tropical storms – 7 to 11 of them were supposed to be hurricanes, and of that number 3 to 6 would be category 3 or above hurricanes…
